Getting Closer

All the little squares have been cut and sewn and cut and sewn again, and almost like magic, we have stars. I think I have about 80 star-squares. They are ready to be linked together to make Hannah's quilt. I did a darn good job getting the corners and points to line up, if I do say so myself. Hopefully the rows will line up as easily. Anyone want to come to a quilting bee?

I love your star pieces! You're going to make me miss my quilting! I absolutely want to come over and quilt with you ;o)!!!

Since I can not set up/leave up my sewing maching in our new house I have been knitting instead of quilting. But boy o' boy do I love the fabrics, the friendships, the patterns and the hand quilting!

I can't wait to see your finished quilt!
Hannah's Quilt has a nice ring to it, doesn't it?

Beautiful work, Wendy!

You're making me wish for extra time to tackle my fabric stash.

I don't know what to do. I have my friend Emily's quilt frame, and I bought yarn to tie it, but then I think it would be cute quilted, but I don't really know how to quilt, and tying is mighty fast. I could get a foot like you have for your machine and machine quilt it, but I don't know how that would turn out. So, I don't know. What do you think?

I am so impressed. I have been wanting to take up quilting for forever, but my husband has forbidden me to take on another hobby until our kids leave home. My grandmother still has her quilting frame (she can't quilt anymore due to arthritis), and I've told her not to get rid of it because someday I'm going to quilt.

Like Donna, I don't have room to keep my sewing machine up.

Happy quilting!
