It's 8:30am on Tuesday. The girls are in school. John is at preschool. and I'm home alone!
I am doing a little neighborhood swap preschool with 3 other mom's, so I have the boys here every other Tuesday. On Thursday while he's at preschool I help at the elementary school. For some reason all of my "off" Tuesdays have been spent at the school or visiting teaching, and this is my first all-alone-with-nothing-to-do day this year!
Not that I really have nothing to do. I am going to sew until 11am, then go get my run. along with a little laundry and mopping.
I am also going to enjoy a nice breakfast out on the lanai.
What do you do when you are home alone?

I enjoy the sweet sweet sound of silence. No one asking for anything, no questions, no one asking to be taken anywhere.

Alone time? Is there any other kind of time? About 1,000,000 things all at once. I think I need to pick the top 20 and do just those. 1,000,000 things is too much to do all at once. I don't recommend it.

I turn on my I-Tunes and dance around the house.
I do anything but watch Fireman Sam 19 times in a row.
hmmm depends on my mood...
if I am PMS, I CLEAN like a crazy woman.
if I am feeling worn out, and DH insists I rest I do.
if I have an option, I will walk and walk and walk, and then blog...
Actually it is kinda hard to decide, as I do not have that much alone time

Home alone? I wish! Though when my daughter is in preschool twice a week, Bode and I hit the trail. He's already quite the intrepid little hiker!

Kidding! I like to do housework so I don't have to try and do it while they're messing it up again. Answer e-mails. Grocery shop. Volunteer at D's" school. Nap! :)
Hmmm... if I had alone time I might want to sleep. Or read and enjoy the quiet. Or blog a bit. But sewing sounds great too! It's hard to do that with kids around - how did mom get so much sewing done when we were all kids?
I guess my response is nothing special cuz a lot of us haven't been home alone in a long time. I'll let you know in a few years. But two years ago (pre-Liam) I would, um, I have no idea, wait, I would clip my toe nails, paint them, tweeze my brows and maybe even shave my legs. Oh to be a groomed woman. [sigh]
