Friday

It's Aloha Friday!

and

Ainokea (pronounced I no Kay uh) is pidgin for I No Care, or I don't care.

As in:
1: You gonna be in big trouble, brah.
2: Ainokea, I do what I like.

Here are some ways to add Ainokea to your life:

It seems a little chilly to go to the pool today, doncha think? Ainokea, we're going anyway.

I don't want to clean my room! Ainokea, get up there and clean it up!

I don't like Taco Bell, I want chicken nuggets. Ainokea, I need a bean burrito no onions.

I wanna go play with my friends. Ainokea - no playing until you get that room cleaned up.

Mom, those are mom jeans, ew! Ainokea, they are comfy.

Can I have a bowl of cereal? Ainokea, I gotta work here on my blog, get whatever you need.

Interested in an Ainokea sticker for your truck?
or your own pair of Ainokea flipflops?
or my favorite, an Ainokea bikini?

That's funny, 'ainokea'! So, tell me, are these words that your kids come home using? And are you picking up and using the lingo too?

deanne - not so much. I just like to pretend like I'm cool like that on my blog. sorry if that disappoints you!

Do you really sell those cute shark towels? I'm interested in 2? What other hooded towels do you make/sell?

Hi Stephanie,
Thanks for stopping by!

My standard towels are sharks, ducks, ladybugs, and bunnies.

I have also done some special orders - pink sharks, green dinosaur, purple cat, and fish and sharks out of larger beach towels. Once I even made a patriotic hooded towel with a striped towel and a star hood.

You can email me if you are interested in purchasing or if you have any more questions:

Stephanie - I meant to add that I also make them for babies - a regular hooded towel, not a poncho.

That's awesome! I'm going to start channeling ainokea in my life. I could use a little of that zen-like attitude :)

So hilarious Wendy. YOur blog is so fun. Got your message last night, I will give you a ring. I was putting the boys to bed when you called, and was too tired to call you back!

Aloha Friday is the best!

So, if you speak pigeon, do you also have to follow people around and pester them for food?

I love Hawaii. We had a lady at Activity Day camp teach us about the differences in the Island races - Tahitian, Hawaiian, Samoan, etc - it was so interesting. I could have stayed there and watched her dance all day. It inspired me to sew muumuus but I haven't done it yet.

OK. I sent my friend from Hawaii over here to see this very funny post (which she loved by the way). But I hadn't thought about your Wahine linkies. She found me out!! Hmmm.

Anyway, I'm working Ainokea into my conversations with her!
