I have a grey hair. I just noticed it today. I was sitting in the car waiting for Hannah after school and looked in the mirror. I noticed a light colored hair, about 2 inches long, kind of curly, just standing up there on my head. It seemed to be reflecting the light, and I could see that the color was different than my regular hair. When I tried to tug on it I found that it is much stronger than my normal hair, and it's texture is also different. Yikes!

Grey Hair 40x (not my hair)

Mayoclinic.com says that "Hair typically turns gray as a result of aging." I'm getting old! When did that happen? Next thing you know I will be hiding Nice 'n Easy behind my hair dryer and curlers.

This article talks about going grey - written by a 35 year old "salt-and-pepper" man. Warning ladies - not good news: On a guy, gray hair says, "I'm mature, stable. I can be relied on." .......On the other hand, women don't get a free pass. "It's not fair," says Diane Harris, a media image consultant, "but men see gray on a woman and they think she's old." Funny article - especially the last couple paragraphs.

Hey old lady (I'm only 2 years and 17 days younger). No worries about the grey hair. Since mom started going grey, I always thought her hair looked lovely. Have you noticed that dad's light brown/blonde has given into an all-grey hairdo? When did that happen?

A note on Anderson Cooper: He was an "anchor" on Channel One, that silly high school news show they made us watch in Social Studies at HRVHS. How can I take him seriously? Perhaps his grey hair makes that possible...

I don't remember him from Channel 1, but Hannah gets to watch it every day! I love how it is 90% coke commercials.

I've been slowly going grey for a few years now - it bugs my Mom more than it does me. She keeps telling me I need to use some sort of hair dye, but I like my hair color now - it's getting redder as I get older, except for the strands of white. Which, I think gives me character. And I'm not 35 yet! :)

Truth is, I've been told that it's due to stress and lack of "B" vitamins. Don't know how true it is, but I always get more grey after having a new baby (babies - hehe), so there may be something to that!

The grey business is mostly genetic.
It's easy for me to be so calm about it, since I inherited my father's late-greying hair. So, now that I'm greying at my advanced age, it's no big deal.

Hey Wendy, welcome to the (almost) 30's club. I now have several grey hairs too, and for some reason they like to stand straight up. What's with that?

So that's what my grey hair looks like. I've been thinking lately about getting a dye job where they leave some of the grey but dye the rest. It seems that there is not much brown left. Mom
