Shoot the Moon
wish i had that tripod...
the clouds parted for a while, but now it is mist-ing. I'm still hoping to catch a view of the total eclipse...rain rain go away...
I guess my little song worked. The clouds slowly moved away from the moon, and I woke Sydney up to see the Lunar Eclipse.
The moon was dark.
Dark red.
But I could not hold the camera still for the count of 15-one-thousand, so this is the best I've got:
Total eclipse or total mess?
(or the very hungry caterpillar)

Very hungry caterpillar! LOL
I wanted to watch b/c we had a beautiful night last night, but I just couldn't bring myself to set the alarm. Great pictures!
You did better than my husband.
While I slept he tried to use my camera.
No luck at all.
He couldn't get past the on-off switch.
What time was it when you viewed the eclipse?
It started around 3:30am here.
Sorry about the last question.
I should have read below first.
Did you take those first pictures?
We saw it when we first woke up around 6:20. It was so low down in the sky by that time that it was difficult to see.
I like the hungry caterpillar!
Oh wow! What great pics- even the caterpillar!
I agree....cool pics! You certainly are dedicated, being up so late (or early).
nikko - I took the pictures. All by myself. I wish I had a tripod....
Ahhhh man! I am always late for these things! Thanks for sharing your pictures though! :D
Cool pictures - even the catepillar one! The sky looks very red in that, how neat! I had no idea there was going to be an eclipse, but Lindsey was so excited to watch the full moon as it "followed" us home last night from D.C.
Thanks for sharing your pictures! I didn't get to see any thing, so I appreciate it -- very hugry caterpillar and all!

Awesome pics! I missed it and am thrilled to see these!
OK, OK, OK, I get the picture. When I go downstairs tonight after reading blogs, I will take your tripod down with me to remind me to mail it to you. Hopefully I can do it Friday after school before I start picking berries. Love ya, mom
Oh, mom, I wasn't thinking of that. I was just feeling bad that I forgot it...
Sorry!
