Friday To Do & Friday Feast

Where has the week gone? I have so much to do:

Go running
Dust (including the fans)
Sweep
Mop
Vacuum
Clean mirrors
Babysit Emily's friend
Go to the middle school to help with some crazy PTA thing
While at the middle school, ask if Hannah's schedule can change to include Band
Go to the Housing Office to file an "install my AC" form
Scrounge around for money for the pool
Go to the pool
Take a nap
Call Diane about the box of camp stuff in the back of my car
Do the Friday Feast
Laundry
Think of something easy to fix for dinner (hamburgers?)
Have a totally rockin' family movie night (Bridge to Terribithia)

What are you up to today?

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

Friday Feast

Appetizer
Describe a toy you remember from your childhood.
We had a Richard Scarry Busy Town village building set. We could build houses and stores and a barn and silo all on a green grass grid. We played with it together with Little People. Mom still has that very cool game, and my kids love to play with it when we visit. I've been trying to find this set for myself on Ebay, but apparently we were the only kids to have this game...

Soup
On a scale of 1 to 10 (with 10 being highest) how observant are you?
2. I forget to notice things, like what people are wearing, what they look like, and names. I would be a terrible crime witness. Sometimes I have a moment of panic when I realize I have no idea what the kids are wearing or how their hair is fixed.

Salad
Where would you rather be at this very moment?
In bed. I stayed up late last night watching Catch and Release, and now I'm regretting it. Yawn!

Main Course
When was the last time you learned something new?
Hmmm. I guess just yesterday. I was driving onto the base and saw a big sign announcing "Drought Conditions. Conserve Water." It was a suprise to me - drought? even in Hawaii? Seems a little odd to me. We get a lot of rain her at our house, but it is a little dryer than it was...

Dessert
Fill in the blank: I have ____________ but I haven’t ____________.
I have brushed my teeth, but I haven't put in my contacts. yet...

-----------

Before I get back on the computer I am definately going to so something on my list.

Have a great day!

Hmmmm. Laundry, laundry, laundry. Bathrooms, keeping up the dishes and living room, and then tackling those horrible bedrooms.

Hopefully something fun and cheap this weekend. Haven't thought that far yet. :)

I loved Richard Scarry's books.
That one that was like an encyclopedia.
I looked and looked and looked at that book.

Well, I'm late, but yesterday we went to see Captain Bogg and Salty for the second day in a row. We're pretty much their groupies now. Then I took someone out to eat Greek food for dinner, went to Cold Stone Creamery for dessert, came home and went to Taco Time with my husband and watched him eat. Then we headed over to the bookstore and bought Harry Potter (40% off), Twilight, Schools Out Forever, and The Starvation Experiment. We read a little, and went to bed.

I love your Friday Feasts!!!!
Yesterday for us was Water Park, and I'm still pooped out. When it's really hot, it just saps my energy--that and my hair part got sunburned :(

Wendy I sooo remember that Busy Town set you guys had. It was so much fun!!! I wasn't sure if that was what you were talking about until you mentioned the green grass grid! :) So many good memories with you and your sisters as we grew up together!

Deanne, that's fun that you remember that Busy Town set. That was one of my favorite toys growing up and it is fun to see our kids enjoying it now.

Wendy, did you get all your things done?

Thanks for the birthday wishes to you and everyone who commented!!

You are such a busy lady! Did you like Catch and Release? I couldn't believe she ended up with the sleazy guy and not the sweet guy friend. Anyway...thanks for sharing.

I have half of your burp cloths done and I'm now working on the other half! I hope to be done in a week! :)

I've not seen the hardcopy of Busytown since, well, a long time - BUT, I've seen videogame adaptations of Busytown (Sega and playstation i think) and there are several software offerings. Kinda spendy, but ranks up there with Signing Time in my book of good investments.
