at 12:47pm Hawaii Standard Time the Earth was thrown off its orbit when the last piece of my laundry was washed. and folded. and put away. It was a beautiful moment.

Yay for you!!!
Now don't let anyone wear anything but their swimsuits for three days...and you will continue to be free of laundry.
What a wonderful feeling! Yah, too bad it never lasts long enough. But thankfully we live in a time of washing machines and dryers!!!
swim suits - brilliant idea - they can rinse them out and night, and hang them to dry for the morning....
Haha! Laundry is my worst chore. I am so bad at getting it folded and put away. I have 3 loads of laundry waiting to be folded this minute - now that the kids are in bed for the night. If I can get it folded and put away before the clothes pile up again, I feel like the queen of the world. But it never lasts. SIgh.
I love the swimsuit idea! That is amazing that you had a least a moment to feel "done". It seems that at soon as I go through all the loads of laundry waiting around, I go back to the laundry basket to find several more that magically have appeared and are now waiting. Oh, to feel done.....
Ahhh laundry, it is calling to me, but I've been ignoring it. How did you get a picture of my laundry room?
Heather
I've said to my dh many times that clothing my family could be a full time job if I let it be. Shopping for new clothes, mending, ironing, washing, sorting, folding, putting away, swapping out outgrown clothes for the next size, keeping all the rubbermaid bins organized of various sizes of clothes, stowing winter clothes, finding a spot for summer clothes, etc...
I wondered what was wrong :)
You make me laugh and that is a great picture!
This is the chore that never ends
yes it goes on and on my friend...infinity.
I also vote for wearing swimsuits for a few days. Keep that basket empty and enjoy it :)
Laundry sucks. It really does. I enjoy the summer because my kids run around in swimsuits all the time. But alas, it doesn't get hot enough here for that until like August. :(
Ironing? You mean I should be doing that, too...
I wholeheartedly disagree. The world was NOT in balance due to my own laundry overload....
Never fear I have you and the safety of the world covered.
Yes covered in dirty laundry.
Of strangers.
It's not a pretty thought, but then again neither is the state of my laundry room.
I've haven't felt that feeling since the last time my washer broke down and I took all the laundry to the laundry mat. Good job Wendy now you have inspired me to get all the laundry done for once. You probably won't be seeing me for a couple of days.
Oh I have the same problem with laundry except that it is really only me that I am washing for right now. Not sure what my excuse is. Just don't like it. A few weeks ago I got it all done, folded, hung, and put away. And I have managed to keep it that way! Amazing.
Ironing is highly overrated if you ask me.
I love that feeling of being 'done' even if it is for just a milli second.
