Take her in to see the doc and insist on an echo. They are non-invasive and it will set your mind at ease. Also ask them to give her a glucose tolerance test....3 hour or 5 hour. She might have something called reactive hypoglycemia. They can't find that with a random or fasting glucose tests. Google it. Make sure if she has the test they have a doc on sight when she does it. Treatment for it is pretty easy...eating every 2 hours and low carb, low sugar...and no caffeine at all. Hope this helps.jodyhttp://www.andbabymakes6.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8270568.post-57570535568298296912012-01-22T05:45:23.267-10:002012-01-22T05:45:23.267-10:00ow scarey that Sydney has been fainting. I remember crying on the front stairs because my niece didn't like me. I didn't know how totally crazy little kids could be! I mean, not like me?Annahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08385388702082947694noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8270568.post-24195534668976305632012-01-19T15:45:27.584-10:002012-01-19T15:45:27.584-10:00I think Trish has given you good advice. Be sure and keep a record for yourself so that when you go into the doctor you can say what happened when. It does worry me too. I know it has been happening for quite a few years.Momnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8270568.post-13516454716083148532012-01-19T10:23:48.586-10:002012-01-19T10:23:48.586-10:00I would just call and ask for a referral to a card...I would just call and ask for a referral to a cardiologist (pediatric cardiologist if there is one in town). I personally would quit dealing with the military pcm as quickly as possible... they may be fine, but if your concerned I would just go for the guys who really specialize in this... The one thing I have become certain of is that you really have to stay on top of your own health care (especially in the military, because there is such a high turnover of docs.) Good Luck! Hope everything is ok, and she just needs more peanut butter!trishhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14077250089964065298noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8270568.post-38319023292357162522012-01-18T12:01:14.136-10:002012-01-18T12:01:14.136-10:00Trish! Do I just call up and say "hey, I want to schedule an echocardiogram for my daughter?" Or try to get the Dr on the phone (again - I've been calling in each "episode" all fall so that there is an official record) and hope that she wants to do one?wendyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03468751357831063842noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8270568.post-51187944953760824182012-01-18T10:16:32.973-10:002012-01-18T10:16:32.973-10:00Oh yeah - and totally needs to give up the corset!...Oh yeah - and totally needs to give up the corset! But I couldn't resist replying to this post. As an official doctors wife (who knows nothing but think I do) I would totally take Sydney in. I actually gave craig the details you had on here and he agreed. With the information he had he suggested an echocardiogram... Bekah says hi! Miss south Dakota and everyone we knew there. Take care.
